that's true, kinda... i classify eurodance as the male rap + females singing in the chorus and/or background:

and classify eurobeat as faster eurodance with that typical screeching saw lead:

many times i refer to j-dance/j-hhc as eurobeat too, those crazy j-teenagers are the masters of that sub-genre (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

What I look for in my portable players is the ability to play/pause, skip tracks forward/backwards as well as seeking within a track forward/backwards, without looking and without turning the screen on. most of the time my player is in my pocket and I don't want to take it out every time I want to do the above, and turning on the screen eats the battery too much.

iPod Classic and my old phone HTC Touch Pro were the only devices that could hold all my favs AND do all the above. I simply can't stand the touchscreen-only mp3 players.

been following drifting scene for years now and came to a conclusion... japanese have perfected their drifting skills (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) here's a quick rundown with screencaps+videos. click tje screeshot for the video.

they got the control, 6+ cars and so close without actually hitting!
(IMG:http://imgur.com/ttkw3.jpg)

they got the degrees, you'd think otherwise but this guy is in fact driving to the RIGHT, backwards!
(IMG:http://imgur.com/LmapU.jpg)

and this year we've started seeing those 4-wheels off the groud drifting, its like they've ran out of things to do with their cars!
(IMG:http://imgur.com/5xtCR.jpg)
* @2:50 they show the best run + a slow-mo replay, imho the best part of the vid

note the car in the back, friggin air-tailgating, lol!
(IMG:http://imgur.com/ZJOvL.jpg)
* same vid as one above

there are tons more cool pix/vids but here's one from 2010. full narration and replays (slo-mo replays are sick. hehe)

D1GP 2010 in Odaiba: Part 1/4 (solo runs)
(IMG:http://imgur.com/Whmbh.jpg)
* show off your "i got it under control" skills

D1GP 2010 in Odaiba: Part 2/4 (entertainment)
(IMG:http://imgur.com/BmqaL.jpg)
* pole-dancers, 4 car skill show-off, parallel parking while drifting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

D1GP 2010 in Odaiba: Part 3/4 (tandem runs pt. 1)
(IMG:http://imgur.com/CjROb.jpg)
* follow as close as possible and try not to crash

D1GP 2010 in Odaiba: Part 4/4(tandem runs pt. 2)
(IMG:http://imgur.com/T0y6T.jpg)
* follow as close as possible and try not to crash

so, any drifting fans on here?

whooooops, i meant Camtasia Studio! It's not free but is very good. CamStudio on the other hand is hella buggy... would never recommend it.

Pop -> Happy Hardcore -> Pop Trance -> Uplifting Vocal Trance -> Uplifting Trance -> Progressive Trance -> Progressive House -> Deep House -> Techno -> Ambient

I'm assuming you're simply telling us your personal evolution tho I gotta agree with everything you said untill progressive trance. that's the exact same path I've gone through and currently am at the proggy stage, but by no means does that says that I hate what I don't listen to anymore. I still enjoy hhc =}

heck, I'm finding myself listening more and more to tracks like "Lia - Fairy Land / Lia - My Soul, Your Beats" when working just cuz they still have that edm'ish beat and still satisfy my music needs. They even sound decent on my external speakers at low volumes, cuz otherwise the typical uplifting trance at low volumes sounds like some mad noise with the typical off beat cymbal sound - not enjoyable at all.

yep, that's my music roots... as i've been saying before, a lot of russian christian music (especially older ones) which i grew up with have the same level of melody-ness, but too bad they're just that - melodiness but no beats. tho no worries, trance was the answer - we get all the mad beatz we want AND the beautiful melodies. the track in OP is just that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
