The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer... (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/default-sad.png)

ok, i've rebuild IMuTube to version 2...

in the archive you'll find 3 IMuTube scripts. they do same thing with equal quality, the only difference is the method used in encoding.
encode-avs.bat > feeds original jpg through AviSynth for input *fastest*
encode-jpg.bat > uses original jpg through FFMPEG for input
encode-png.bat > converts original jpg to png, and uses png throught FFMPEG for input
extract-audio.bat > a lil script i use for extracting audio from FLV/MP4 files without converting (VERY fast)

i use encode-avs.bat for most of my encodes. if the video gets stuck on "Processing...", then i re-encode with encode-jpg.bat. usually that takes care of "Processing..." problem, but if it doesnt then you can use the third encode-png.bat as a backup.

I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 to make videos, recently I was using the "Upload to Youtube" function, but even in "Higher" mode, it's still crap. :| I'll have to check this out.

ok, just did a lil speed test just for kicks... it takes less than 60 seconds to encode a 10min track, start to finish (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ... not to shabby, eh (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My God! That took around 1/2 a second to take the audio of a 9 minute video. (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
And it's in perfect quality! Now that's something very useful. (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Does that mean Png files are better for uploading? It's because I resize my pics before so I could just save as Png.
And Thank You once again! Vegas takes hours and I'm too lazy to wait for an hour untill the stupid video is made (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

technically, yes. but for the purpose of uploading to youtube there is no difference.
the reason i have "encode-png.bat" is because i've noticed that if some JPG files dont go live, converting them to PNG fixes the problem. same goes the other way too (PNG -> JPG)

btw, i did a quick update to IMuTube to v2.1. why? well, i managed to cut encoding time by more than 50%. i also added a script for encoding HQ videos, hella fast as well.
try it out: http://rapidshare.com/files/209386319/IMuTube_v2.1.rar.html

so far, on my computer, encoding 10:59 HD video takes 24 seconds and encoding 10:59 HQ video takes 11 seconds (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

What size should the pics have for each mode? I know you wrote it down somewhere but can't find it
Edit: nvm found it: http://tranceluvers.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1049

And is HQ really limited to 480x270?
Because what drives me nutz is that my contest entry got HQ but the other one didn't although they had been encoded the exact same way (via Vegas HD settings I also got from you)

Why is it so hard...

its not always 480x270, i think... i did some test upoads and videos with almost no motion, like our picture uploads, get 480x24. i uploaded a high motion video and it came out to 640x360... though i'm not 100% sure if 480x270/640x360 actually depends on the video type.

i think youtube had music uploaders in mind when creating the 480x270 HQ version, cuz we typically care about audio quality more than video quality. also, 480x270 videos load faster than 640x360 ones (IMG:http://tranceluvers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I did a test upload with your Imutube and it worked, but the sound quality didn't improve to the other upload, so I guess there's nothing that can be done about it.
Well at least it's a whole lot easier and faster now thanks to your effort, once again. THANKS!
