Ableton problem

hey, trying to do a megamix and have a problem with the sound. when i add a song, the BPM is still on 120, so i need to change to (in this case) 142, but then the sounds gets a bit shi77y, or very very bad, its very hearable on the beats, the beat is like splitted up into pieces :S listen to itHERE ignore the continous noise, focus on the beats and you will hear it.

the second song, that is on 140 BPM, sounds very good, with no failures
so i wonder what can i do, and how do i make ableton change the BPM automatically for that song?

Click on the clip, and change it from "Beats" to "Complex Pro". Would give you a screen shot but ableton just died on me and I have to re-Download-install (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

2 questions, i sometimes involuntarily turned off a mixer(?), the red dot becomes gray and i dont know how to put it back on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) HELP!

and how do you split a track, just split, dont remove anything, like this, i dont know how i did that xD

When it turns grey you have turned a knob or something while its playing so it disables the automated stuff and everything is manual, to stop it press This button (IMG:http://i49.tinypic.com/33mvm6v.jpg)
And for splitting I have no Idea, but I would love to know as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Frifox?????? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

noticed another wierd thing, the track sounds like its changing the tempo a bit and then back again to normal. Its not visible anywhere in ableton, just hearable. May it be to high specs for my PC and it cant handle it or something else?

Nope that happened to me as well, its the ghost of ableton live........ Randomly sped up during the breakdown of one song in my 200 subs special (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

ok, this is insane, Im done with my little mix and when i render it, the output sounds like its freakin 92kbps sound... all the tracks are 320kbps, well the sound like changes the volume on the high frequencies, like the hi-hat etc. The file itself is in .wav format, 50 min long, and the kbps is on 1400 LOL. Whats wrong with this, and whats the ultimate settings that for example AvB use? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Check your master while playing the mix in live. Is it red? If it is than your clipping and probably like hell (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Decrease the master to -5dB and export (Also take off temporarily anything you put on the master like Eq) Listen to it, it should have a lower volume but the quality should be better. If that fixes it than open up an audio editing software and Normalize it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) If thats not the problem than I have no idea whats going on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

yea it was red at some moments, lowered it to -6,6dB and the sound is decent, but still some wierd stuff, not the original 320 sound =/ maby its the export settings? and why does it go red and clip the songs when it goes red?

Umm thats pretty weird -6DB should have been fine, umm it prob has nothing to do with export settings unless you did something to them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I have lowered the volume on all songs in this mix, some were clipping as original. But still, when playing some disortion is hearable in the higher frequencies, same level as hi-hat etc. Can you reset the setting on live, or something else is possible to fix this? =/

drop Limiter on your tracks... that should take care of clipping. i use that all the time when making mixes.

Hey, dont want to make new thread so here we go. I got myself a sample that i put in Impulse, when i press the play button in Impulse i hear the clip but it just fades out to nothing. The clip is 14 sec but the only thing i hear is 3 sec and then laters its too silent to hear anything. Other things like kick and clap are there and they work without any probs.
